Stephen Richard Strasser, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away May 14, 2010. He was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa, and was a 32-year resident of Nevada. Steve was a math teacher with the Clark County School District for 32 years. He spent 21 years at Gibson Middle School and 11 years at Lawrence Junior High. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1971. Steve was married in 1977 to Donna McDowell, the love of his life. He was an avid baseball fan and loved all things math related. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Strasser; father, Richard Strasser; and wife, Donna Strasser. He is survived by his son, James Strasser; and daughter, Andrea Strasser, both of Las Vegas.
