She was born July 17, 1933 in Lansdowne, Ontario Canada to Maxwell and Sadie McDonald. She married Edward Thomas (Ted) Shaw, the love of her life and soul mate on February 6, 1954 in Brockville, Ontario Canada who preceded her in death in 2014.
Anne and Ted lived in Toronto, Canada until they moved the family to San Jose, California in 1970. In 1986, Ted and Anne moved to Henderson, Nevada.
Anne was a very caring, loving, wife, Mother, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
“Our Mom was diagnosed with dementia in late 2014. Unless you knew our Mom before the illness you really can’t understand how sad this really is.”
Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband Ted of 62 years and her brother Glenn McDonald.
She is survived by her sisters Mary McDonald of California and Irene Allen of Washington; her son John Shaw; daughter Judy and husband Mike Perry; grandson Michael Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Anne's name to, The Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123 on Sunday July 21, 2019 beginning at 12:00pm.
