Mrs. Sharon Tanner

Sharon Lynn Tanner, age 74, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sharon was born September 25, 1946 in Glendale, California. The family moved to Las Vegas when Sharon was 6 months old.

Sharon grew up in Las Vegas, NV, and graduated from Western High School in 1964.

She met the love of her life, George David Tanner, at the Fremont Hotel in downtown Las Vegas. They soon after married on November 20, 1967 and were later sealed in the St. George temple on September 13, 1980.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Sharon served in every auxiliary of which Primary always had a special place in her heart. She loved the children and teaching them about the prophets, helping them to memorize the Articles of Faith, and learning to love the scriptures with scripture pictures. Sharon also volunteered for many years as a PTA president at Rose Warren Elementary School. She was an avid crafter and loved making quilts for many family and friends.

Her greatest joy was being a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved her kids and grandkids so much and was always willing to take in others that needed her help, treating them as one of her own. She always enjoyed her visits with her brother Skippy. Sharon also had a great love for her dogs in which she received much enjoyment and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy Edward Mead and Peggy Colleen Mead, husband George David Tanner, and sister Allyson Mead (Sandy).

She was survived by her beloved brother Gregory Mead (Skippy), her children Heather Everitt (Dave), Mesquite, NV; David Tanner (Carol), Las Vegas, NV; Troy Tanner (Rachel), St. George, UT; Crystal Ray (Robert), Las Vegas, NV; Ashlee Goodman (Scott), St. George, UT; nephew Jason Mead West. 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 12:00pm at 221 Lorenzi Street, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Interment will take place after funeral service at Memory Gardens Memorial Park at 7251 W. Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
