Ruthanne Fuchs, was born in New York where she graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and New York University. She lived in New York where she taught elementary school and started her family until 1979 when she moved to California. She lived in California until 1991 when she moved to Las Vegas after marrying Daniel Fuchs, where they operated a successful travel agency for many years. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Stephanie Wurzel (daughter Samantha), Alicia Hawthorne (husband Adrian Hawthorne, sons Liam and Elijah Hoffman and Paxton and Gage Hawthorne), and Seth Wurzel (wife Kathleen Wurzel, daughters Margaret and Eleanor). She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Joan Schwartz, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her brother Sandford “Skippy” Schwartz and her husband, the love of her life, Daniel Fuchs. Ruth was an amazing mother who loved her family fiercely. She will be missed dearly by all who were fortunate to know her. Funeral services will be held at King David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
