Richard was a very loving, empathetic, and selfless husband, father, brother and friend. He enlisted in the Air Force in 2017, and was stationed at the Nellis AFB in southern Nevada. He was a musician, a Bucc-ee's fanboy, a lover of animals, and an admirer of the great outdoors. He loved to explore and he created his own adventures on several road trips along the great expanse of the continental U.S.
Richard is survived by his wife, Emmilyn Medina (nee Schmitt) and their daughter, Koralyn Kayla Medina of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his large, very loving extended families in the Philippines, Hawaii, Texas, Nevada, and Montana.
In Nevada, on Saturday, the 11th of June, a viewing will be held at the Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery at four o'clock in the evening.
In Hawai'i, on Thursday, the 16th of June, a viewing will be held at Borthwick Mortuary in Honolulu.
The family invites everyone to come as you are - as Richard would have wanted - to honor his life and legacy.
