Rafael Rosalin Yabut (Amang), 94, went home peacefully to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus on June 27, 2017 at 3:48pm due to cerebral infarction. On January 15, 2015 he had a stroke and since then he was not able to walk again. In spite of his condition, he continued to fight the good fight of faith and tried to live his simple life surrounded with his loving and supportive loved ones until the remaining days of his life. As apostle Paul said in II Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” He is now rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty God in Heaven, a place where there is no more pain and suffering.
Amang was born on March 10, 1923, Pangasinan, Philippines to Fernando and Emilia Yabut. He married his childhood sweetheart Encarnacion Mentoya Yabut on January 16, 1944. They were both their first and last love and were married for a remarkable 73 years. Amang was the very proud father of nine children Ernesto, Tita (deceased), Marietta (deceased), Loly, Vilma, Conrad, Tommy, Ronnie and Edelyn. He had 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Amang migrated to Guam and worked as a carpenter at Black Construction Company. He was a very responsible husband and father. He was a great provider to his family and was able to send all his children to school. He was a very simple person, content with whatever he had. He was a gentle, loving and humble soul. He was a Christian and loved to read God’s word, the Bible.
He is survived by his wife Encarnacion, his children and children in-law Ernesto & Arlene and family, Loly & Rudy and family, Vilma & Ernie and family, Conrad & Cristy and family, Tommy & Olive and family, Ronnie & Helen and family and Edelyn & Ric and family, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his sibling Moding and family, Paz and family, Dida and family and several relatives, friends, church family from Guam, Philippines, Canada, Las Vegas, California, Texas, and around the globe.
Amang’s presence will truly be missed and will always be remembered. This separation is only temporary for someday we will have a great reunion in heaven. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
Viewing and Funeral service will be held on July 12, 2017, 8:00am-12:00pm viewing, 12:00pm service and burial will follow at 1:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
