My dearest Piercy:  Although we were not blood sisters, you were the sister of my heart.  I felt that I could tell you anything and you understood.  You would always tell me that you were so very imperfect, but to me, you were perfect just as you were.  I can't wait to see you again in heaven.  Until then, I will miss you so very much!  I love you Piercy!

My sister Piercy, you have tasted and seen that the Lord is good - Psalm 34:8. You did not save your life to lose it, you lost your life only to gain life eternal - John12:25.  Our hearts and spirits are at peace because you made it.  To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord - 2 Cor 5:8. We will see you at the rapture - 1 Thess 4:17. Glory be to God! Nonetheless, our hearts hurt and are sad.  We do grieve and mourn because we miss you dearly.

You were the pioneer of the family.  As a teenager, you went to California with a friend from Hawaii, then went on your own. You met Mark Hoffman and got married, then you and Mark bought a house in Las Vegas NV.

Your strength was in being the best mother to your children, sacrificing your time and energy to ensure that your children came first. You used all resources available to you to provide for them.

God's favor upon us all was to have all our siblings together in Arizona to visit Hoover, allowing us to be all together in one place. We may be poor monetarily but God gave us the ability and desire to love and support one another. Deborah and I always looked forward to our visits to Las Vegas NV.  Piercy's house was like a second home to us. We were privileged to watch her children grow up.

At Piercy's lowest point, God allowed her the time to be by herself, to become re-acquainted with Him by reading His word and spending time in prayer. God said He would never leave us or forsake us - Heb 13:5. God restored her confidence to trust and have faith in Him which she did till the end.

The hurts, trials, and tribulations and the ups and downs of life that Piercy endured here on earth is no match for God’s grace which He bestowed upon her - 2 Cor 12:10 - let alone God’s love and mercy, for His mercy endures forever - Psalm 138:8.  He forgave her faults and shortcomings.  Piercy experienced God’s love herself till God took her home to be with Him forever, Amen.
