He lived in Lake Isabella, Cal City, Ridgecrest and Tehachapi. He graduated from Mojave High School and Grossmont College, Associate in Arts, Student of Note; Math/Spanish and Education. He attended San Diego State University as a political science major. He met Eva Nava who was also his tutor in college. They were married and had two children together.
Phillip was a meat cutter by trade until he lost his sight due to diabetes. He had many complications from diabetes which left him blind since 1995. Also causing heart and kidney disease, he had many surgeries and strokes. He was on kidney dialysis for 8 years. In spite of this he put up a fierce fight for life. He always had a sense of humor, kept a positive attitude and loved his family.
He enjoyed football (the Patriots), baseball, bowling, horse races, cooking and barbequing for anyone who came by. One of the highlights of his life besides his wife Eva and his children was getting his guide dog, Ari. Ari took him everywhere and kept him out of trouble.
Phillip is survived by his wife Eva Nava-Campbell and two children, Eva Lynn 17 and Phillip Enoc 10 of Las Vegas. Also grown children Crystal Campbell of Bishop, Stacey Campbell of Ridgecrest and Ethan Campbell of Indiana and 8 grandchildren. He is survived by his mother Esther Louise (Kelly) Campbell and step father Richard Larson of Bakersfield, sister Leslie (Bobby) Brown of Ridgecrest, brother Steve (Linda) Campbell of Newbury Park, and a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are like family.
Phillip is preceded in death by his father Steve George Campbell, maternal grandmother Martha Esther Boland, and grandfather Harry Gayle Kelly. Paternal grandparents, Erlinda and Steve Campbell. Also his faithful guide dog of 13 years, Ari.
