He was enlisted into the army in 1957 and served 2 years until 1959. He attended El Camino Junior College and spent several years at different colleges in the Southern California area. He received an AA degree in Psychology and enough credits for a few other degrees. He loved learning and used to say he was a professional student.
While putting himself through school, he learned the trade of tool and die maker. He worked himself up to president of a spring manufacturing company. He transferred to San Jose, California to run another spring manufacturing company in 1969. He opened his own company a few years later. Paul was a consummate workaholic.
In his "spare time" he also raced sports cars as a hobby until he married in 1965.0
Paul was a great father. He enjoyed doing do-it-yourself projects with his sons, teaching them home repairs and maintenance. He also taught them car and motorcycle maintenance. He enjoyed the sport of dirt bike riding with his sons, which later transitioned to motocross racing. They were a great team!
In 1985, Paul developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. He retired from his company and relocated to Las Vegas in 1987, hoping the desert weather would help his arthritis. He opened a pool maintenance company here. He retired from that and started driving a city bus for Keolis. He worked there for 20 years and retired at the age of 82. A workaholic, remember.
For the last four years he has spent his time fighting COPD, Rheumatoid Arthritis and compression fractures in his cervical spine and lower back. He spent much of this year in the hospital and the last two months at home in hospice.
Paul was a hardworking man. He was a great father who enjoyed the sport of motorcycle motocross racing with his two sons. He was loved by many. HE WILL BE MISSED!
