Pat was born on September 22, 1931 and was raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He went to work for the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Company at age 17, and went to night school to obtain his B.S. in mathematics from Geneva College. Pat worked for the Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Division, where he was the Production Control Manager. After 38 years of service, Pat retired.
For many years, Pat was a Little League Baseball coach. He also was a member of the Beaver Falls Owls Club, a men's service organization, as well as a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
Upon his retirement, Pat worked for a travel agency and enjoyed extensive travel, both within the US and internationally. He took many cruises, trips to Alaska, Egypt, Hawaii, and a photo safari to Kenya. Pat and his wife Ann enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas, and upon her retirement in 1993, they moved west and made Las Vegas their home. They made a fine life in Las Vegas, with many friends, and they enjoyed social and sports endeavors, especially during football season. Ann and Pat also enjoyed traveling to Africa, Egypt and on several cruises.
Pat is survived by his wife of 62 years Ann; their three daughters, Robin Frye Bond (Philadelphia, PA), Judith Frye Flowe (Charlotte, NC, with her husband John), and Patty Frye (Las Vegas, NV); four grandchildren, Elizabeth Bond Wilkins (Princeton, NJ, with her husband Kevin), Michael Bond (NYC, NY), Paris Flowe (Charlotte, NC) and John L. Flowe (Charlotte, NC); and one great-granddaughter, Anna Wilkins; his sister-in-law Jean Danzey (Pittsburgh, PA) and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123, at 3:00 pm on Friday August 26, 2016.
