I’ll always remember you for your big smile and sweet spirit. Your family inherited the way you treated others with kindness always. This trait will live on and touch so many lives. I had the honor of attending many dinners with you and visiting your home. I admire your story of coming to America with nothing but your family. As a new mom I can only imagine h ow difficult that journey was and how strong you had to be. You did an incredible job of providing for your wife and children and living life fully. You will be missed so much but I know you are watching over us all. Rest In Peace.

I will never forget meeting Mr. Pham for the first time at dinner while I was in college. He was so welcoming and made me feel like I had known him for years. I was deeply moved by the story of him and his family coming to America. Such incredible courage! He was the epitome of a family man and always put his family first. I remember hearing of the Sunday dinners and meals cooked, and while I know there is going to be a huge void without him here, I am thankful the Pham family had so many special moments and memories made - they did not take their time together for granted! His legacy lives on through his beautiful family, children and grandchildren. I continue to pray for the perfect Peace of God to comfort the family during this difficult time and Holiday season.

I knew Mr. Pham through his daughter, Kim, who has been one of my closest friends since high school. He had an incredibly kind and warm spirit - one that lives on in his children, Kim, Whitney and Bao. It was apparent that he was a loving husband, father and grandfather from the many stories that Kim shared with me. One of my favorite stories was when he was so proud that his granddaughter Lele was starting college that he became overjoyed with tears. 

His love was felt not only among his family but also among family friends. Whenever I visited the Phams, I would be greeted with warm smiles and a generous plate of food. Mr. Pham would always ask about my parents as they knew each other from before Kim and I were born. I will miss his warmth and generosity. Though he was taken from us too soon, the memories of his life as a family man inspires me to live a full and meaningful life.

I’ve met Mr. Pham a few times within the past year or two. The very first time I met him he made me feel welcomed. Both him and his wife invited me to lunch when they just met me about 10 minutes before. The few times I’ve seen him, he was always smiling. A smile that was contagious. He was the sweetest and he will truly be missed. 

My heart pours out to the Phamily.  I love hearing stories of Chu flying his drones and how sweet and catering he was to his whole Phamily.  Many thoughts and prayers.  Rest well in paradise Chu!

Although I know ANghia N his wife not so long ago thru AHai N Suong, I felt the warmth n loved towards them immediately.  He such a gentleman, sweet to everyone, care n love everyone unconditionally. When we get together, I love how he talks about his children's , you can see he all bright up , so happy n proud  of them, about he is a Grandfather again, n he soon to gain a daughter in-law.   I finally get to tried his homemade chicken casseroles that he brag about 😉. We talk about having Thanksgivings dinner at his house. I am still in awe of his passing, I refuse to believe it, it happen so sudden n unexpected. I am so sorry for your loss Chị Phú, & Kim’s. He will b in our prays, our heart n b miss forever ❤️❤️❤️ B strong !

I had the pleasure of meeting “Ba” many years ago through his daughter, my best friend, Whit.  He was warm from the start. When I would go to their house, I remember him always working on his planes/ drones, working on the cars, or cooking.  Whit always talked about how her Dad was the cook of the family and I quickly found out why.. he really could cook!  And he would make sure you ate and were okay.. AKA full.  I also remember all the trips Whit would tell me about that she would take with her whole family.  And I mean yearly family vacations.   As adults, that is a big deal.  To be able to take trips with your kids, siblings, AND parents, is a beautiful thing.    I always said I want that for my family too.  The last time I saw “Ba” was earlier this year at dinner before the move to Vegas.  When we were getting ready to leave the restaurant , he invited me to come out with Whit to visit and stay with them in Vegas. I was really looking forward to it.  I will miss the warm greetings that “Ba” always gave me whether visiting the Phamily home or one of the many Phamily dinner outings. He was always welcoming. He had such a cool presence about himself that you couldn’t help but notice. I remember always telling Whit how good she had it to have a Dad that still took care of her car maintenance as an adult (when everyone was living in Charlotte). I knew she could always depend on him for whatever she needed. He always wanted to make sure everyone was okay. I know he really loved you guys. While I am heartbroken by the news of his passing, I pray that you all find comfort in knowing the positive impact he has had on so many people during his life. The memories that you created with him will live on forever. I know I will never forget him.   Love you guys  - Mel

I never had the pleasure of meeting Nghia Trung Pham but was lucky enough  to befriend his sweet daughters, Kim and Whitney. They are wonderful people who live by his example. He did a fine job at raising two beautiful strong women of whom I am sure he was very proud. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Nghia was a great friend. So nice to everyone. He was always glad to see me. We had many talks as he was so wise. The best memory is how proud of his children he was. He showed me many pictures of his girls and son. He made me feel like I was part of his family. His memories will always be cherished. I will miss you my friend but I know you are being well taken care of. Until we meet again my dear friend.

Your Husband-Father-Grandfather will be truly missed by so many.  He is one of the most positive & caring person that I have ever met.  He has raised such an incredible loving family & I am so grateful to have known him (thanks to Kim)!  I met Kim about 12 years ago while in college & we have been best friends ever since.  I can't remember exactly when I first met Kim's dad (Sorry guys... I've always referred to him as "Kim's dad" but I know he loves you all so much!) but I will never forget the night on May 19, 2012, when I went over to hang out with Kim at her parent's house.  Kim's sweet dad decided to randomly sand & polish my old foggy yellow headlights for me!  I remembered this date because I went back to the instagram photo that I posted of his hard work.  This just meant so much to me because it wasn't something simple to do & he did it for me just because he wanted to when he could have been flying his drones instead.  He treated me just as if I was one of his children.  Another thing I won't forget is that Kim's dad always loved to start every single conversation with me by telling me how proud he is of Kim.  I loved hearing all of the stories that Kim would keep me updated on about her dad & his weekly allowances that he impressively had.  Wynn, you even helped me purchase my first home & how you helped is a reflection of your dad & his qualities that you've inherited.  Whit, I won't forget when Grandpa was watching LeLe when she was a tiny human being & Kim had asked me to pick her up to drop her off with her Grandma on my side of town.  I still remember pulling up on the driveway & your dad was standing outside walking his little grandchild to my car.  He was the sweetest Grandpa ever and I'm so glad that he was also able to spend some time with Asher & Bruce Lee 2.0 this year.  I know that your father is very proud of you all!  He has raised such an Incredible & Beautiful Phamily.  I love you guys & will be praying for you all!

I’ve spent a very long time thinking about what to say and how to put the loss into words as he was “dad” to me too. I became an honorary member of the Phamily many years ago but affirmed my place as sister, auntie and “the other daughter” when I traveled with Kim, her mom and dad, Whit and Lele to Europe in 2016. 

Dad and I were “travel buddies” and followed (at times far, far behind) wherever Kim led us. We bonded over Paris, Versailles and London, shared lots of laughs and saw all the sights together. Whenever I think of my first trip to Europe, Paris or London, I will always think of dad and my Phamily. 

Dad always welcomed me just like I was one of his own kids and he always asked Kim about his “other daughter.” He was always so thoughtful, kind, genuine and loving. and would always put a smile on my face. He knew that I loved and cared for his daughter just like he did and that was of utmost importance to him because his kids were his entire world. 

Lots of karaoke, meals shared, drones showed, miles traveled and FaceTimes had. 

Dad, you will be so missed. My heart is broken for us, your children and grandchildren but your light was so bright that your memories will shine on forever. You raised my beautiful sister so very well and I will forever be grateful for you. 

Even just recently, you sent Arya a personal FaceTime birthday message speaking his love language: drones. But to do that for your daughter’s, best friend’s husband just goes to show you that his kindness and caring soul knew no bounds. 

I’m so sad I didn’t take him up on his multiple invitations to visit him in Vegas but I know he knew how much I loved him and Kim. 

Phamily, I feel helpless in the fact that I can’t be there with you. It just doesn’t feel right. But I love you with my whole heart - we all do. All of our thoughts, prayers and support are with you.

Mr. Pham came into my life when I met his daughter Kim in 2000 when we moved to the same neighborhood to start middle school together. From then until we graduated high school I would always see Mr. Pham after school
when I would stop over on my way home. He always treated me the same as his children and always was kind to me and my family. I still drive past their old house expecting to see him washing his car or flying one of his new drones.

Over the last 20 years I have enjoyed being included in the “Phamily” with Mr. Pham always so generous and kind to anyone that was a friend of his kids. The number one thing he would always talk about was what each of his kids and grandkids were up to and how proud he was of his family. He worked extremely hard to provide for them and his reward was seeing them live their lives fully.

The last time I saw him this past August he kept reminding me that I needed to come see his new home in Vegas, I wish that I had while he was still here. I know he is watching over his wife, children and grandchildren with love while also keeping a watchful eye on his drone. 

All my love to the Phams during this time. Your father was a wonderful man who will always be remembered.

I was very fortunate to have met Mr Pham and his family when first moved to charlotte. Kim quickly become one of my good friend who i adored and consider as my family. Through out the years kim have shared so many great stories about her family and especially how special her father was. He was kind, geuine and full of life. He was a wonderful role model and mentor, he also was loved and respected by everyone who met him. His advice and support will be greatly missed by myself and many others. He left such a heartwarming legacy with his family, and I’ll miss him too. Sending love and prayers to the Pham family. 

I have been fortunate enough to share  many quality moments with Mr. Pham and I am devastated by his passing . Some of those moments will stay with me forever.
He had an unbelievable amount of wisdom which I would defer to many times when experiencing challenges - and his answers/advice would always broaden my perspective on how I could look at things from a higher level. Most of those conversations would take place in his garage in Charlotte where I would sulk and he would give me advice while he casually enjoyed a cigarette. But the one memory that is the most prominent, is a walk he and I had in Paris where he thoroughly explained to me how much his family means to him and how much he has sacrificed and continued to sacrifice in order to make them all happy - and in some sense that was the foundation for his own happiness. I hadn’t known Mr. Pham for that long at that point but it was then that I’d realized how selfless of a man he was and how much integrity he lived by. It was a very inspiring moment that I am tremendously thankful for and will impart these bits of wisdom to his grandson Asher.
God bless your soul and and may your enlightened spirit achieve Nirvana in the afterlife. I pray that your family finds the peace in their hearts to remain fulfilled with the love that you have instilled within them. Rest well Mr. Pham.

Friends have always been extended family to me. It was a honor and pleasure to have Mr. Pham welcome me into his home for dinner with he and his Phamily. I will cherish those meals and miss his drone photos for the ‘Gram. I’m thankful that his legacy lives on through Whit, Wynn, Kim, Lele, and Asher.  I offer my deepest sympathies Mrs. Pham for the loss of your best friend and husband. He was great man who I’m so very fortunate to have known.  My heart is with you and your family.

When I met Kim in college many years ago, I knew we were quickly going to be the best of friends, and I was not wrong! One thing I knew about Kim, from the very beginning of our friendship, was how much she loved and cherished her family. No matter where we were, or what we were doing on the weekends, Kim would never miss her Sunday family dinners. Kim’s family has always come first, and this a quality about her that I love and respect. In my opinion, these values were instilled in her by her parents and the environment of love and warmth that they always created, not only with their family, but also with all of Kim’s friends.  

Mr. Pham was the epitome of true character. Not only was he extremely hard-working, intelligent, and a man of many hobbies, but he was also kind, genuine and welcoming to everyone he met. Every time that I was around him, he treated me as one of his own.  I loved to see his big smiles, and hear about his drones. Kim and I love to talk about a time that he inspected her car tires, by gently kicking on each one, to make sure the they had good air in them. He was always making sure his daughter and her friends were safe.

A few years ago, I got to take a cross country road trip with Kim, and this is when she told me many of the stories about her dad and his first years in the US, about how he arrived to this country by himself, learned English, began working and paving a life here for himself and his family. It is amazing to me, all that he accomplished, despite so many obstacles. He was so brave in a situation where most people would have given up! I’ve always remembered those stories.

I know that Mr. Pham was so proud of his family. His character and spirit shows in his beautiful wife, his kids and his grandkids. He will be so missed, but I know that he will live on because he has impacted so many people with his stories, his love for his family, and his kindness to others.

I was fortunate enough to have known Mr. Pham through his daughter, Whit. We’ve been friends since our early High School days and Mr. Pham was always so welcoming and kind. There are so many memories I have of Mr. Pham because I was truly treated like extended family. I remember he was always dancing and laughing. It seemed like every time I would go to their house he was doing some kind of work on the house or a car...such an intelligent and hard working father.

Throughout the years our families become bigger and Leai was born and he loved her beyond any words. He was always there for her, encouraging her. Then I had a daughter and every single time we would come around he was always surprised at how big she had gotten since the last time he had seen her. I will never forget his contagious laugh and his spirit. Bryelle and I are so fortunate to have known Mr. Pham for the time that we did. I will cherish the many years and memories we had with Mr. Pham and the Pham family. 

My heart and prayers go out to Mrs. Pham, Whit, Bao and Kim. With much love, Mr. Pham will be missed but he will never be forgotten. 

I’ve met Mr. Pham a few times over the years and have heard so many great stories through my good friend Kim. I remember Mr. Pham always being so warm and welcoming towards me and the rest of Kim’s friends. I will never forget his smile and light hearted jokes. I can tell he was an amazing family man with good character who deeply loved his wife and children. These qualities are evident in his children, Kim, Whitney, and Bao. I know the Pham family will keep his love and presence alive, and will continue to make him proud. I feel honored to have met him. My deepest condolences to the Pham family. I worked with Nghias wife Phu 31 years ago. Kim his youngest daughter and my daughter Holly are friends for years.
Nghia was a good family man, kind and thoughtful! He was always proud of his children and grandchildren!

Nghia Pham is the father of a woman I am grateful and blessed to call one of my closest friends, Kim Pham. Over the past 12 or so years I’ve seen Kim grow into the strong, intelligent and beautiful (inside and out) woman I know and love, and I know for a fact her father played a major role in shaping the incredible person (and kind friend) she is today.

Mr. Pham was always so incredibly warm and welcoming to me and Kim’s other good friends. Recently, in September, her parents were kind enough to let us stay with them while balancing work with some vacation time. The first morning, Mr. Pham was up making me Vietnamese coffee (which I call Vietnamese jet fuel!) in time for my first meeting. I remember he was concerned it would be too strong and kept asking Kim to let me know to be cautious drinking it all! Later that day he taught us how to make hand-wrapped spring rolls, and was so proud when we did it right!

While my heart is broken for Kim and her family with this sudden loss, I am so grateful to know the impact Mr. Pham made (and will continue to make) on Kim’s life and of those close to him. I found his laugh and his kindness to be so contagious - a beautiful light that while snuffed out too soon, won’t be easily forgotten. Rest In Peace. All of my love, Courtney.

I knew Chu Nghia because my family was friends with the Pham family, most of my childhood memories would be of either being at his house or vice versa with our parents playing cards in the kitchen while we ( Bao, Kim Ngan, my little bro, and I) are doing some silly stuff in the other parts of the house. Our families would take vacations together like the trip to Orlando Florida or the many Myrtle Beach camping trips. I will always remember that one amazing blue crab dish that Chu Nghia would make at the beach that I have not had since our trips to the beach. He was an amazing cook, always smiling, and very wise. The world lost a great man and amazing dad.  My heart and condolences goes out to the Pham family during the heavy and painful time.

Mr. Pham was one of the sweetest men I’ve known. I was lucky enough to enjoy a few Sunday dinners with the family. He was an excellent chef. One time he made this coconut stir fry crab and it was so delicious I had to ask for the recipe.  Mr. Pham had handwritten the recipe on a notecard for me. It was the sweetest gesture that I will always remember. He will be missed dearly. 

Kim and the entire Pham family - I'm sending my best wishes during this difficult time. Kim is a close friend in Los Angeles.  A couple months ago, I had the honor of meeting Mr. Pham when several of Kim's friends traveled to Las Vegas and stayed the night with Kim's mom and dad. Mr. Pham was a kind, generous and happy soul. I will always remember when he made us coffee  in the morning to make sure we were caffeinated for the day :)

Kim was so proud of her dad. She talked about him often and always expressed how much she loved her family. Heaven gained another angel last week.

I never met Mr. Pham, but I am very close friends with his daughter, Kim. Kim spoke so highly of him, always sharing funny stories— particularly about his drone obsession. Kim loved when her parents would come to visit her in LA and she made time to visit them often, especially after they moved to Las Vegas.  I could tell that Mr. Pham was a true family man who was full of life and love, and I see that in Kim as well. My deepest condolences to the Pham family. May he Rest In Peace ♥️

As a friend of Kim’s, I have heard nothing but amazing things about her dad. It was clear their relationship was so special and strong. I am sending all my love to the whole family during this difficult time. 

I was fortunate to meet Bac Nghia through Kim, his youngest daughter. He’s the sweetest man, and has a kind presence towards him. He always made me feel at home and always so accommodating, I can see him having this aura with everyone he passes!  Heaven really gained an angel, but I know your legacy will live on through your kids and grandkids. RIP Bac Nghia, thanks for all your cool stories and kindness!

   Nghia and I known each other and worked together at 3M | Scott Safety for 6 years.  We had something in common and we can talk joke about anything in the world.  We were not only friend at work but outside of work and on Facebook as well.  Sometimes, we hung out in group at local bars and restaurants.  Since, he retired and moved to Las Vegas.   We still kept in touch weekly by phone and on Facebook.  Nghia always invited me to visit and stay at his house in Las Vegas and now, he is gone.  Losing a good friend like Nghia is not easy.   I am awfully sorry to hear about Nghia passed away.

Nghia worked with me in Monroe, NC and we became good friends over the years.  He always had a kind word, or funny story, and was just the sweetest guy.  He really loved his drone hobby, and I enjoyed hearing about it because that is something I am kind of interested in too... He loved his children and grandchildren so much.   His smile and presence will be missed!  

Worked with Nghia in Monroe, NC at Scott Health & Safety for years. I remember when he retired this year. So sad to hear of his passing. I will keep his family in prayers.
