Mary "Louise" Sartori Yuhas was received into the arms of our Lord May 25, 2010, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 14 months earlier. She was born Feb. 16, 1941, in New London, Conn., to Benjamin and Agnes Sartori (both deceased), and was a Las Vegas resident for 42 years. She attended St. Joseph's School in New London, Cohanzie and Jordan Schools in Waterford, Conn., and was a 1959 graduate of New London High School. Louise married her husband, Gene Yuhas, in 1961. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, and finally relocated to Las Vegas, where she worked for the Clark County School District for 26 years. She and her husband established Page Financial Service 40 years ago, and also formed Querubines Antique Shop in 1992 to satisfy her fondness for angelic deities. Her greatest fondness, however, was her unconditional love and support of her immediate and extended family. Besides her loving husband, Gene, Louise is survived by her sons, Glen (Shannon), Ron (Rae) and Greg (Christine) Yuhas, all of Las Vegas; daughters, Rhonda (Don) Clark of Sparks, and Christine "Tina" Yuhas of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, Jaymee, Jerel and Janay Clark, Ronnie, Rayna, Shelby, Zachary, Olivia, Caroline and Joseph Yuhas and Sterling Catanese, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Bob (Judy) Sartori of Connecticut, and Frank (Elaine) Sartori of Las Vegas; sister, Joyce Anne Sartori of Healdsburg, Calif.; brother-in-law, Jerry (Linda) Yuhas of Connecticut; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sullivan of Las Vegas. Louise's angelic smile will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins; as well as her special sorority of friends. The family would like to acknowedge the professional care administered by Dr. Ram Ratnasabapathy and technician, Addie, of Cancer and Blood Specialties of Nevada, Dr. Linda Johnson and nurse, Kris, of Southwest Medical Associates, the staff of UCLA Medical Center-Pancreatic Cancer Department and Family Home Hospice, especially nurse Joanne. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday, May 29. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 30, in the chapel, both at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. A celebration of her life will follow. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. It was Louise's wish that donations be made in her memory to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave. #7000, El Segundo, CA 90245, or at pancan.org.
