Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Marcus Bahr. Also, Brother-in-law Joel Bahr (Shirley), Nephew Eric Rabior (Jan), Great-Nephews Michael Rabior, Christopher Rabior (Eleanor), Great Niece Jessica Klemz (Stephen), and a very proud Great-great Aunt to four. Goddaughter Donette Cardinal-Osorio, Cousins Karen St. John (Glen), Linda Kaehler, Debra Guthridge (Tony). And lifelong friends Irene McMartin (Langlois), Nancy Gerke, and Charlotte Dolly. She leaves behind many friends from Michigan and Las Vegas.
Mary Lou was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. Her parents were Henri and Alice DeLeersnyder. She had one sister, Rosemary. She was baptized into the Catholic faith, and lived those traditions and morals throughout her life.
Magically drawn together as teenagers, Marcus and Mary Lou were married at St. Charles de Borromeo Church. They were married for sixty-one years.
Mary Lou retired from her long career as a Court Clerk at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit.
Of her many passions, she loved music and had a spectacular singing voice, much the fan of Elvis, having visited Graceland in her travels, and having won cruise ship singing competitions. She loved films, idolized James Dean, and enjoyed old horror films. She absolutely loved traveling and cruises, her favorite trip taking her for a two-week stay in England.
She loved being with people, and people loved being with her, with her magnetic personality and demeanor. Active socially, she belonged and contributed to many clubs and organizations, among them, PETA and Heaven Can Wait. She was a volunteer driver for charity and belonged to the Women’s Club and Travel Club.
Mary Lou was very intelligent, compassionate, empathetic, well-spoken, honest, direct, loving, caring, generous, full of life and humor, and lived life to its fullest. Her greatest passions were her husband, and her family, which included her fur babies, her cats. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
