Mary Lee Fulton (Carson), 81, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at home surrounded by family. A native Las Vegan, Mary was born October 31, 1942, to Robert James Carson, Sr. and Anne Elizabeth Carson (Loyocano). She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and both Rancho and Las Vegas high schools.
Mary spent her adult work life as a cocktail waitress in several casinos around town, including the Riviera, The Mint and the El Cortez, before working at and retiring from the Fremont Hotel & Casino after 30 years of service. Her customers were endeared to her because she always remembered their names and their favorite libations! Mary spent nearly 35 years in music ministry at her church, sharing her talent and love of piano at many funerals, weddings and weekly masses. Her love of music was surpassed only by her love for her family, with whom she spent most of her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert James Carson Jr.; and her children Robert, Lynda and Gary Meininger.
She is survived by her daughter Gina (Rotondaro) Aiken; son-in-law Peter Aiken; grandchildren Noah, Hannah and Samantha Aiken all of Las Vegas; Trique and Unique Meininger of Washington; and sister Margaret Ann Skaggs of Phoenix and her children Steven Schmidt, Amy Skaggs, and Kellie Markowicz.
A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Community, 4925 S. Torrey Pines, LVN 89118 on Saturday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon reception will follow.
