Marilyn Hunold passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019 in Las Vegas at the age of 78. She was born September 6, 1940 to Stanley and Eula Ridge in Memphis, Missouri. Marilyn graduated from Burlington High School and then furthered her education at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Burlington, Iowa earning a Nursing diploma. On November 4, 1961, Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Hunold. Later in her career, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse in Huntington Beach, CA and for Tricare Military Insurance also. After she retired in 2000, she and Bob relocated to Las Vegas and encouraged their children to join them to assist in managing and operating the family business with Bob. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, quilting, sewing and taking walks with her neighborhood friends. Marilyn was a member of the Quilters Club and Sewing Club. When traveling, she would go on cruises, and visits to Wisconsin for the college football games with her family and friends. Marilyn was an inspiration to many especially her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Bob” Hunold; and her brother William “Bill” Ridge. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories her son, Christopher (Sarah) Hunold; two daughters, Jennifer (Buck) Crosby and Stacey (Douglas) Garcia; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Briana (Thomas) Miskey, Austen, Kaitlyn, Jared, Wyatt, Caitlyn, and Connor; two great granddaughters, Liliana and Naomi Miskey; her twin sister, Roslyn (Jim) Beckman; and extended family members. She will be laid to rest with Bob at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston, WI in the spring.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1 at 1:00pm at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
