Marian Jameson Oakes, 89 of Las Vegas, Nevada went to heaven on July 22, 2013. She was born in Milford, Utah to Earl and Annette Gleason. She moved to Las Vegas when she was 7 years old, she owned her first beauty shop Mademoiselle Salon in 1946, at the age 23. She married George Jameson in 1940 and had one son; George R. Jameson. Then met and married Stan Oakes in 1951 and had a daughter Lori Oakes Harrington. In 1970 she purchased Marians Beauty Salon until 1985 when she retired from owning her own beauty salon and continued to work for Palm Mortuary as their only hairdresser for 62 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Stan Oakes. Survivors include her son, George R. Jameson; daughter, Lori Harrington; grandchildren, Ashlee Ashcroft, Chris Jameson and Martin Jameson; 3 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, 12pm at Palm Downtown, 1325 N Main Street, Las Vegas, NV. 89101, with burial to follow at Palm Downtown Cemetery.
