Marian Wood "Granny" Freeman, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 17, 2012. A lifetime resident of Las Vegas, she was born to James M. Wood and Vera May Clifton Wood, March 24, 1936; both parents are deceased. She attended Las Vegas High School, Class of 1954. Marian married Kenneth B. Freeman in 1953 and the marriage was blessed with four children, Debra R. Freeman Bellver (1954-1995), Kenneth "Kenny" B. Freeman Jr. (1957), Kevin M. Freeman (1960-2006) and "Bekki" Freeman Wik (1971). Marian is survived by her son, Kenny (Kerry); daughter, Bekki (Adam) Wik; her beloved grandchildren, Day R. Gang, Bryan Kenneth Freeman (Jessica), Cody Owen Freeman, Ava Jewel Wik, Jeanie Freeman and Kevin "Jack" Freeman; and one great-grandson, B.J. Freeman. Marian is also survived by her aunt, Bess Napolin, who came to Las Vegas in 1936 to help care for her and is now in her 93rd year. Her husband, of 58 years, Kenneth B. Freeman Sr. survives her. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
