I am Marcia, the daughter of Marcos.

My dad was a loving, caring, and thoughtful husband to my mom, father to his children, brother, grandfather, and friend. When my mom worked outside the Philippines for several years, he was both a father and a mother to us, his children. He loved to do anything for his family, that we became so dependent on him. The simple things he did like preparing our baon/food (that we bring to work), driving and going with us to our appointments, even grocery shopping, or just hanging out with us, we will surely miss those. He was very supportive and always willing to help others. It was so easy to talk to him because he was an open-minded and understanding person. My co-worker once said that I am my dad’s daughter, and my aunt just recently said that I am daddy’s girl. I don’t think they said that mainly because I look like a female version of my dad, but I can say that my dad was always there for me – from the time I was born until now that I’m an adult. He’s been there for me during the good and bad times of my life. He was not judgmental, instead, he gave us encouragement and pieces of advice. Him (and my mom) never gave up on any of us. He always had a sunny disposition, and even made everybody laugh. He always looked at the positive side of things, was always appreciative and thankful, never complained even when he was hurting or in pain. We all look up to him. We are blessed because he is an inherent part of our lives. We won’t hear his voice or see him physically anymore, but the good memories we have of him will be in our hearts always. If given a choice, I would choose him to be my dad over and over again. We love and miss you dad.
