Louis Townsend, born June 19, 1932 in Los Angeles, California, passed away September 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorine Townsend and three brothers, Trenholme, Robert, and Marshall. He is survived by his wife Jo and several nieces and nephews. In his early years, Louis worked as a ventriloquist with his companion, “Freddie.” They performed in nightclubs in New York, Chicago, and on the “Ed Sullivan Show.” Louis later worked throughout the U.S. as a welder and finally settled in Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked as a slot mechanic at Imperial Palace. Viewing for family and friends will be held on September 23, 2016 at 10AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11AM at Palm South Jones Mortuary on 1600 S. Jones Blvd, a graveside service will follow at 1PM at Palm Northwest on 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
