Lolita Abelon Salas, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, originally from Agat, Guam, was called by Our Heavenly Father to sit at His almighty side on September 17, 2022. We take comfort in knowing our beloved mom, momma, mamacita, nana, auntie Loling, auntie Lit, sister, and friend now rests peacefully in heaven with her loving husband Noberto Aguigui Salas.
Our kind, selfless, generous, hardworking, intelligent, and compassionate mother is remembered by those who loved her and the many who had the privilege of being able to spend time with her, and the lives she touched.
Even in passing, she embodies the very best of humanity and dedication to family and faith.
She is survived by her children - Noberto Salas, Jr. and wife Crystal Salas of Oklahoma; Sabrina Salas Matanane and son-in-law Frank Matanane, grandson Brock Francisco Salas Matanane and granddaughter Tyler Javene Matanane of Yigo, Guam; Patrick F. Salas and grandson Andrew Patrick Tenorio Salas of Las Vegas; her adopted children Ryan Abelon Uncangco and wife C’ana and Jason Abelon Uncangco of Oklahoma; Edrianne Flores of Hawaii, Curt and Monica Santos Williams of Oklahoma, Paul and Rosa Angoco Adams of Oklahoma; and Aaron and Lu Martinez of Oklahoma.
Her spirit also lives on through her siblings - Zenaida Abelon Santos of Agat; broth-Brier Edralin and Rebeca of Delaware; sister-in-law Aurora Abelon of California (wife of Patrick Abelon ); sister-in-law Terry Abelon of Oklahoma (wife of Albert Abelon ); brother-in-law Anthony and Severa Tydingco Salas of San Diego, California; brother-in-law Jose and Margie Salas of Agat; Annie Salas (wife of Johnny A. Salas ) of Cross-Island Road, Guam; sister-in-law Dorothy Salas Grey (wife of Paul Aquininoc Grey ) of Santa Rita; brother-in-law Raymond and Therese Salas of Yigo; and sister-in-law Norma and Keith Chandler of Georgia; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her father Patrocenio Castrence Abelon and mother Carmen Palomo Abelon of Agat; brothers Patrick Abelon of San Bernardino, California; Albert Abelon and Gilbert Abelon of Agat, Guam.
She is also predeceased by her mother-in-law Josefa Aguigui Salas and father-in-law Francisco Babauta Salas of Agat, sister-in-law Teresita Aguigui Salas, brothers-in-law Johnny Aguigui Salas of Agat, and Paul Aquininoc Grey of Santa Rita.
A public viewing and memorial service will be held from 11:00am - 5:00pm with rosary on Friday, September 30th at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary in Las Vegas. Details regarding placement services with our father in December at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City are forthcoming.
