George Locke Edwards- son, brother, uncle, and friend, returned home to his Heavenly Father on April 20, 2019. He was born July 8, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV to George Quincy Edwards and Amorette Cornwall Edwards. He was a talented athlete and had a great passion for sports especially football and basketball. He loved shooting, playing roller hockey, tramp ball, and volleyball with his family. He loved playing the piano and guitar and listening to uplifting music. He could often be found in a laughing brawl on the floor with his Dad and brothers. He absolutely adored his sister Mae. He played football for Centennial high school and graduated from Northwest Technical and Career Academy. He was attending BYU Idaho, loving, learning, and looking forward to a career in Neuroscience. He was an eagle scout and was always willing to serve anyone, anywhere, with a smile. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington Kennewick Mission where he loved and was loved tremendously. He will be remembered for the light he was, his ability to create fun, his distinctive laughter, his fierce love for his family, his unwavering example of faith and a sure testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Locke is survived by his parents Quincy and Amorette Edwards, Brothers Dexter (Akayla), Tucker, Ike, Enoch, his sister Mae, and nephew Oliver, Grandmothers Jean Cornwall and Martha Edwards, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandpas Arthur Edwards and Douglas Cornwall. In Locke’s own words, “ I firmly believe that our loved ones who have passed on continue to bless our lives” as Locke’s influence will continue to bless ours.
