Lila Elaine "Lenni" Perry, 73, of Las Vegas, NV, a retired teacher in the Clark County School District, passed away on Friday, May, 24, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.
Lenni was born on December 16, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to David and Libby Lapidus (nee Goldberg) and was a southern Nevada resident since the early 70's. Lenni taught Government, History, and Social Studies at Rancho High School for 25 years. She was the eternal student and loved to continue her education. She loved to travel, especially the beach... She loved reading and had an extensive clown collection. Besides being the most thoughtful and caring mother, she was an even better grandmother. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. Spending time with them always brought her great joy. She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her two sons. Jonathan (Diedra) Perry and David Jacob “Jake” (Amanda) Perry; two brothers, Donald Lapidus and Elliot Lapidus; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Evan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00m on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to The Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health/Cleveland Clinic or the American Heart Association. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
