Larry Wayman Deason passed away on June 1st, 2022. Born on December 27th, 1944 to Violet Maye Wayman Deason and Henry Hassel Deason; Larry lived and worked in the Salt Lake Valley until the mid-eighties when he retired from Kennecott Copper Mine and moved to Alabama where he had many friends and extended family. He had recently moved to Arizona to be closer to his children and grandchildren and had made many new friends in his community. Larry is survived by his first wife Alice Lee, with whom he had four children: Tamera Mommer (husband Mike) Lisa Nims (husband Jeff) Adam Deason (wife Michell) and Steven Deason (wife Susie). He had 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren all who loved him very much. He is also survived by a beloved brother Richard Deason (wife Agnes) and two beloved sisters, Susan Deason (husband Sam Oliver) and Cynthia Yazzie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jerald Deason and Michael Deason. Larry will be deeply missed by his many family members and friends. We love you, Dad. Keep Smilin’!
