Kenneth "Ken" Keltner, 87, passed away peacefully July 25, 2016, at home, in Laguna Beach, Calif. He was born March 3, 1929, in Rockford, Ill. Ken was a very proud man known for his love of family, strong and enduring friendships and exceptional generosity. He was known for his acts of kindness which were never in search of gratitude. In 1954, Ken relocated his family from Rockford, to Las Vegas, becoming a 62-year resident. Ken was a sharp businessman, who when growing up would never pass on what appeared to others as an odd job. This opportunistic thinking carried him through life where he would become a founding partner of the CPA firm Keltner, Milam and Johnson. Ken was also recognized as a talented commercial property developer who significantly contributed to the growth of the Las Vegas valley. Ken cherished socializing with others, whether it was over a round of golf, attending a dinner event, traveling, or showboating on his water-skis at Lake Mead. He displayed an endless affection towards his dogs. Ken was a perfectionist who was an avid automobile enthusiast. But above all, Ken was passionate about spending time with his close friends and family, especially his wife, of 41 years, Judi. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae; father, Harold; and son, Kerry. Ken is survived by his wife, Judi; daughter, Kricket (Marleau); grandchildren, Kenny (Diana), Kristen (Christine), Krystal, Laura (Mike) and Eric; and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson, Gunnar and Kaden. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Ken will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Chapel at Bishop Gorman High School, 5959 S. Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89148. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Charities, Three Square Food Bank or to a charity of your choice in honor of Kenneth Keltner.
