Dear Michael and family. We are so very sorry for your loss. I know she loved you all so very much.  I know that you will always remember the love and kindness she gave to her whole family. Michael please hang in there.  Your family needs you more than ever. She was so lucky to have you. She will always be with all of you.

I have known and loved Karen since we were four years old in Kindergarten at Shenandoah Street Elementary School in Los Angeles. I was born one day before Karen, and we remembered each other's birthdays every year when we grew into adulthood. 

Karen's husband, Michael, was in my homeroom at Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, and I was thrilled for both of them when they met and fell in love in those romantic years. 

Karen will always have a special place in my heart, and I send my love and deepest condolences to her family and friends who are grieving her loss. Karen lives on in our hearts and memories.
