Joseph Brison Fernanders Jr On February 24, 2015, our beloved husband, father and brother left us, to rest in the arms of our heavenly father. Joe was born June 23, 1961. He was the son of Betty Ann Durant Cheeks and Joseph Brison Fernanders Sr. of Asheville, NC. Joseph Fernanders graduated from Asheville High School; he was a member of the Junior ROTC and later joined the USMC after graduation. Joe was employed at Walmart at Decatur and Charleston for in Las Vegas for 13 years, until his untimely death. Joe is survived by his wife Terray Fernanders of Las Vegas, a step-daughter April Jeter, 2 step-sons, Michael and Christopher Jeter all of Las Vegas; 3 sisters, Shirley Williams of Fletcher, NC, Dorothy Watley and husband David Watley of Arden, NC and Linda Avery of Asheville, NC., 1 brother, Dee Cheeks of NC, aunts and uncles, Roy Durant and his wife Kathy, Michael Durant, Jerry Durant, David Dennison and Vendella Durant, all of Asheville NC., and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who adored him. Rest in peace my beloved, for God loved you more.
