John E. "JR" Riggle Jr., 47, of Las Vegas, passed away suddenly, at Sunrise Hospital, March 5, 2012. He was born in Philipsburg, Pa., June 27, 1964, to John Riggle Sr., and Alice M. (Brightbill) Riggle and moved to Las Vegas with his parents, arriving on his seventh birthday. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mari Alice; grandparents, William and Ruth (Maurer) Riggle of Las Vegas, and George Brightbill of Claysburg, Pa. A graduate of Eldorado High School in 1982, he was a pipefitter and member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525. He is survived by his wife, Colleen A. (Haymond) Riggle; parents, John and Alice Riggle; brother, George (Malisa) Riggle; daughter, Heather D. (Riggle) Cruz; son-in-law, Omar Cruz; grandchildren, Dominic and Halo Cruz; grandmother, Marian Brightbill of Imler, Pa., nieces, Olivia and Ava Riggle, Sheena (Shane) Jennings, all of Las Vegas, Rajeev (Kelly) Haymond and children of Iowa, Seanna (John) Jacobs of Florida; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Theodora Haymond of Ft. Mohave, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Connie Bartkowski of Las Vegas; aunts, Barbara McIntyre of East Freedom, Pa., Elizabeth (Gene) Hoffman of Claysburg, Faye (Richard) Walter of Sproul, Pa.; uncles, William Riggle of Las Vegas, William (Debra) Brightbill of Baltimore, and Dennis Brightbill of Imler; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins in Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Louisiana and Idaho. He was a hard worker, good husband, wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, grandson and nephew. He had a wonderful, unique style and sense of humor and was a huge football fan, especially of his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. His passing will leave a large void for all who knew and loved him, especially his family and we will keep him forever in our hearts. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
