John “Jack” Ellsworth Morrison, Jr. was born around sunrise to Irene and John E. Morrison of Canton, Massachusetts on October 5, 1934. In high school he was a member of the football and track teams and in the 1953 Canton High School Class Yearbook was named the best dancer in his class. Upon completion of high school Jack served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for a period of 3 years, 1953 - 1956. After his discharge, Jack attended Air Age Training School in Boston, Massachusetts, and on completion of the course he accepted a position with National Airlines, Inc. as a sales representative in their New York City office. In 1972, Jack joined the United States Postal Service where, for most of his 27-year career, he served as an Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator / Training Development. Jack officially retired from the Postal Service on October 2, 1999 and, his wife of 35 years, Pauline Morrison, relocated to Las Vegas where Jack died at sunset on Friday, March 28, 2014. Jack was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and camping, but most of all fishing. Jack is survived by his wife Pauline Morrison; his six daughters Maria Heningburg, Sybil Yvette Williams-Gray and Rhonda Renee Benton of New Jersey, Sheila Chin of New York, and Glenda Louise Miller and Paula Thompson of Nevada; his three sons Tyrell Morrison of Nevada, Joshua Williams of California and Theawander “Ted” Williams, Jr. of Georgia; sister Nancy Morrison of New Hampshire; twenty-seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
