Our father and friend, John H. Clark Jr., born on June 21, 1929, peacefully left the earth in the early morning hours of April 5, 2018. He was a proud resident of Las Vegas, Nevada for 71 years. He was active in The Boy Scouts of America since 1941 and was an Eagle Scout and a Silver Beaver recipient. During his 47 years of working as Parts Manager of Pat Clark Pontiac, he traveled to 8 different countries. He spent eight years in the Nevada National Guard, 14 in the Army Reserve and retired as a Major. Skip served in many different callings in the LDS Church, including working 17 years in the Las Vegas temple. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Leta Joy Lee Clark and one grandson. He leaves behind his four children: Sandee (George) Stewart, Peggy (Dave) Morrison, John H. Clark, III, and Wayne (Tracy) Clark; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Palm Mortuary 1600 S. Jones Blvd; Las Vegas, NV 89146 on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. Viewing and Funeral will be held at the LDS Charleston Chapel 3400 W. Charleston Blvd; Las Vegas, NV 89102 on Saturday, April 14, 2018 beginning at 9 AM. Internment will immediately follow the service at Palm Mortuary 1325 North Main Street; Las Vegas, NV 89101 – Eternity Building.
