Jo graduated from Hammonton High School, in Hammonton, New Jersey and worked as a cocktail waitress in Atlantic City and a casino dealer in Las Vegas. Nevertheless, Jo knew she was meant for something else. Jo loved helping others and would often go out of her way to do so. She loved taking care of people, and she had a heart for healing. Therefore, Jo went back to school to earn her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing and became what she was meant to be, an RN nurse.
Jo and her husband, Mike, had an active lifestyle and would often spend their time together out walking the dogs or just watching the birds in the back yard.
Jo had a "larger than life" personality and was loved by everyone who knew her, which was not hard to do. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share when spending time with friends and family who will miss her dearly.
Jo is survived by her husband Michael Frey; niece and nephew Sasha and Nicholas Frey; brother Joseph Cannavo; niece Stacey Cannavo; sister Jacqueline (Glenn) Abrams; nephews Anthony (Lindsay) Abrams and Nicholas Abrams; uncle Freddie Di'Theodore; and many close cousins.
Her parents Joseph and Immaculate (Mae) Cannavo, at Saint Peter and Paul Holy Cross Church, join Jo in Heaven.
