Jim Jain Ho, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away after a valiant 10-year battle against colon cancer in Henderson, Nevada at 9:05am, December 30, 2012. Jim was born February 13, 1944 in Chungking, China. He spent the last two weeks of his life with his wife Margaret, daughter Angela, son-in-law Brian and granddaughters Caroline and Lauren at their Henderson, Nevada home. He received an undergraduate degree from National Chunghsin University. He followed his parents Yu Mei Sun and Liang Su Ho. Ever industrious and entrepreneurial, Jim founded American Grating in 1992, a successful fiberglass company which continues to grow under the care of his son-in-law Brian and Colin Kendrick. He highly valued moral character, integrity and honor. He enjoyed life to its fullest and always had a smile on his face. He was particularly proud of his family, especially his granddaughters Caroline and Lauren. He was a devoted father and husband who provided everything his family needed. Generous, gregarious, fun-loving and always on the go, he had a zest for life and was a shining soul that lit up a room. He lived life to the fullest and endeavored to enjoy it. Courageous and unafraid to the end, he had a strong spirit that lives on today. He led a blessed life and was a fortunate man, despite his illness. He loved to travel, enjoyed delicious food of all kinds, loved to have fun and seek adventure. His favorite music was classical, opera and Elvis Presley. He was very much loved by his family and never short of admiring friends. We will miss him dearly and cherish all the moments we spent together in the last few weeks. Jim is survived by his wife Margaret; daughter Angela; son-in-law Brian; granddaughters Caroline and Lauren; and sisters Julie Flood, Annie Wang, Betty Achoneftos and Lucy Ho.
Funeral service will be held at 10am, on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Palm Mortuary Eastern. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
