Lynn was born in Santa Monica, California and spent his childhood there and Venice Beach, Ca. He loved the ocean!
Lynn is survived by his wife, Pegg Wallace Avakian, his sister Jan Legotte, his daughters, Melanie Avila and Marti Avakian, and his son George Avakian along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, George and Marge Avakian, and a daughter, Lori.
Lynn worked in the oil fields of Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado when he was very young and eventually made his way to Las Vegas in 1969 for an “easier” life. Lynn became a Dice dealer and Dice Pit supervisor and worked at the Fremont, the Dunes, and retired from Caesars in 2005.
Lynn loved dealing dice and loved sharing his casino days stories with anyone who would listen! He loved riding his Harley and eating almost any kind of food. He enjoyed working in his yard and watching movies. His favorite music was the “oldies”. Lynn loved hanging out with his friends!
He met his wife, Pegg, at the Dunes hotel in 1982 and they enjoyed 36 wonderful years together. Lynn will be greatly missed by all who loved him!
Services will be held at Palm Mortuary on June 26th at 3 PM at 1600 S. Jones, Las Vegas and a celebration of life will follow at Kelly’s at Charleston and Antelope.
