Ballard, Janet Jackson, age 90, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Las Vegas. Born June 2, 1927 in Eureka, California, she moved to Las Vegas in 1996. Janet worked as a model in San Francisco and acted on the Red Skelton Show before meeting the love of her life and starting a family. She enjoyed painting, sculpting, knitting and traveling the world. She was an excellent cook and was the world’s oldest Harry Potter Fan! She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ballard and brother Frederick Pyle, Jr.. Survivors include her daughters: Tracy (Kenny) Knauss, Paige Ballard and Brooks (Bradley) Stubblefield; grandchildren: Kristin (Travis) Senninger, Nikki (Eddie) Naseef, Jodie Hurley, Michael (Lindsey) Hurley, Christopher Hurley, Jamie (James) Real and Amanda (Matt) Carlton; great grandchildren: Sydney, Parker, Reagan, Jameson and Sawyer; and many extended family and friends. Family will receive friends from 10am until 1pm Monday, September 25, 2017 with services beginning at 1pm, all at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas.
