James "Jim" William Campbell

Jim was born in Staten Island, New York on July 4th, 1943. He was one of seven siblings. Jim fell in love with Ruth Repetti and the two were married in New York on February 13th, 1965. At the time Jim was serving in the United States Air Force. The couple welcomed their son, James William Campbell Jr. and five years later were blessed with Jennifer Leigh Campbell. The family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jim and Ruth opened Campbell Printing in 1979. They built a successful business that provided well for their family. In 1983 they were surprised with a third child, Jessica Elizabeth Campbell. The family enjoyed many hobbies together including boating at Lake Mead, horseback riding and snow skiing at Lake Tahoe.

Jim’s wife passed in 1998 and he missed her for the rest of his life. He continued to be dedicated to his daughters and Campbell Printing. Jim was very happy when his family expanded to include his son in law Jeremy Traylor in 2015. He was even more happy when his grandkids Jackson Traylor and Jolene Traylor were born. Jim loved spending time with them at the park and coming over for family dinner. He was a very engaged and loving Grandpa.

Jim’s family is so saddened by his passing and he was such a part of their lives. His daughter, Jessica, is proud to continue the family business in his honor. Jim had a full and meaningful life and they were so happy to celebrate his 80th birthday last year.

Jim supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers please make donations to their organization.

Jim is survived by his daughter Jessica (Jeremy), son James (Dana), grandchildren Jackson, Jolene, Christian, Donovan and Mason and great granddaughter Mila.

A funeral service for Jim will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
