Known to all as “Jimmy”, he was born on September 26, 1967 in Quantico, Virginia, to James and Juanita Black. His father, Captain Black, was a Marine for 31 years and the family traveled extensively during his younger years. He lost his mother at an early age and was blessed to have Sadie Pamela Black to continue as his mother when his father remarried in 1983. He graduated from Fallbrook High School in 1984 and moved when the family relocated to Okinawa, Japan, shortly afterwards. Aspiring to continue his education and pursue his love of basketball, he moved back to the states in 1985 and attended Saddleback Community College where he played on the basketball team.
In 1988, the family relocated to Kaneohe, Hawaii where Jimmy transferred to the University of Hawaii. He played on the varsity basketball team and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance in 1992.
Jimmy loved the closeness of his family and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he helped with the family restaurant…he loved to cook. After the family business was sold, Jimmy pursued a career in the gaming industry. During his gaming career he met his wife, Bianca, his true love. This union was blessed with two children, Jayla and Julius, which added to the joys of Bianca’s children, Brian and Samara. The blended family was filled with love. Jimmy excelled in his gaming career and was noted to be one of the finest dealers at Caesars Palace.
Jimmy enjoyed basketball, snow skiing, traveling, and he was passionate about cooking for his family and friends. He had an infectious character and contagious smile. To know him was to love him. All who knew him were fortunate enough to have him as a friend.
He now joins his mother Juanita; father James; and grandparents John, Eliza, Richard and Dora in Heaven.
He is survived by his beloved wife Bianca; four beautiful children Jayla, Julius, Brian and Samara; mother Sadie Pamela; siblings Jeneen, Desi, Lisa and Leander; a host of nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins; and a big group of friends.
