Hugh H. Hardin, 82, took the stairway to heaven on January 25, 2023, at the Kindred Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on December 27, 1940, in New Albany, MS, to the late Ena Marie Hardin and Hattie Mary Missouri Berry.
As a young man Hugh, left New Albany to embark on a new adventure which landed him in Racine where he spent most of his life before heading west to California and Nevada, his final resting place. While in Racine, Hugh worked as a Machinist until he retired from Tri-Clover Ladish in 2001. Hugh was one of the founding members of the Greater Mt Eagle Baptist Church. Hugh loved music and singing so much so that he wrote a few songs that were published and had been a part of a gospel singing group called, Voices of the Lord. Hugh was happily married to Nellie Hardin (Simmons) for 59 years.
In addition to his parents, Hugh was predeceased by his three grandchildren, Laquan McMorris, Monterry Lockridge and Amari Beasley, two sisters and four brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Hardin of Racine, WI; his daughters, Zundra (Bossman) Weathersby Nixon of Columbus, OH; Tundra (Stone) Davis of Henderson, NV; Janet (Roosevelt) McMorris of Milwaukee, WI; his sisters, Wilma (Leroy) King of Racine, WI, Mary Hattix and Betty Hardin of New Albany, MS; Four grandchildren, Siante’ and Briante’ Lockridge of Riverside, CA; D’Andre Beasley and Davion Weathersby of Columbus, OH; four great grandchildren, Damari and Siraya Beasley, Sanai and Simone Lockridge, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
