Helen Mary Whittle

April 28, 1931 to December 27, 2022

Helen Mary Whittle was born on April 28, 1931 in Los Angeles California. She was the daughter of George and Sarah Kocharian.

Helen was raised with her siblings Louie, Marge, Sam, Art, and Liz.

Helen graduated in 1949 from Garfield High School. She met Gerald Whittle (Jerry) in 1954 and they married October 13, 1955. She gave birth to her son Steve in 1958, her daughter Joanne in 1959 and to complete the family, Kathy was born in 1965.

Her primary occupation was Bookkeeper for a Car Dealership. She ultimately retired from a Printing Company where she was a Bookkeeper for over 15 years.

Helen loved her family and enjoyed taking her children on Summer Vacations. She enjoyed family get togethers, going on cruises, trips to Hawaii, adventures in the Motor Home with her Sister-in-Law Lorene and her Husband Bob, and playing cards. But most of all she enjoyed playing the Deuces Wild Machines at the Sun Coast Hotel & Casino.

Helen passed away at home with family by her side December 27, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her Son Steve Whittle, Daughter Kathy Freitas, Daughter-in-Law Jamie Whittle, Son-in-Law Gary Freitas, Grandson Mark Lafferty, Grandaughters Jessica Krenek, Jeanelle Brady, Cassie Connelly, Alyssa Freitas and Great Grandson Jeremy Connelly.

Helen will be laid to rest at Palm Northwest Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Helen was sweet, fun loving and a joy to be around. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service for Helen will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a reception from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
