Habib Kaku was born on July 1st, 1945 in Mosul, Iraq. He arrived in Michigan with his wife, Faieza, in 1982, where they raised their 5 children, Karen, Inas, Frank, Angela and Kristina. Habib and his wife eventually settled in Las Vegas, NV in 2005.
Habib was a creative man who appreciated and took part in the arts. He played several instruments, his favorite being the oud, and would often play his oud and sing for his family. Habib also enjoyed writing poetry, and wrote up until the end of his life.
He will especially be remembered for his kind and compassionate soul; he was a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it, even if it was the only shirt he had.
Habib was preceded in death by his parents and his son Frank. He is survived by his wife Faieza, and four daughters, Karen, Inas, Angela and Kristina. A funeral service will be held at St. Barbara’s Church on Wednesday, June 17th at 11am, followed by the burial at Palm Eastern Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to 4514 Meadows Lane.
