September the 9th was a special day, as it was Gloria's birthday, and the day she was born, my Dad, Gene, turned 8 years old. My Dad was her oldest cousin and they had a bond that was also very special. Gloria was special to me too, there was never a dull moment at the Bafia House. Parties and summertime fun in the back yard were allways something to look forward to. I remember Gloria taking me to visit her school where she was a teacher and I got to sit in the classroom with the big kids, or at least they seemed big to me at the time. Music was a big thing in our family and she would come to see me at times when I might be performing in the area. I guess I never told her, but I used to love to hear her sing, as she reminded me of "Jazz Singer". She had a great voice and would have been a hell of a professional singer if she had wanted to. Michelle and I got to visit with her and Barb a few years ago on our only visit to Las Vegas, and we will miss being able to share time with her again. Our deepest sympathy to Barbara Jo and we will miss you Gloria. Love, Ron & Michelle Walters
