Frutozo "Joe" Sena

Frutozo “Joe” Sena passed away May 8, 2024. He was surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his children Mark, Michael, Priscilla, Patricia and Pamela; his sister Cecila; his nine grandchildren, Matthew, Martin, Mark, Mindy, Maxwell, Mitshell, Holly, Carlos and Melelani; and (7) great grandchildren, Tatiana, Donovan, Mya, Celina, Marcos, Dionte and Maeve.

Joe was born to parents Roque and Priscilla Sena on August 7, 1931, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was the second eldest of 5 children (George, Cecila, Manuel and Pete).

Upon completing high school, he joined the Air Force the day after graduation. Joe married his childhood sweetheart, Emily Lujan after being discharged from the service.

He worked at numerous jobs throughout his career but most of his life working with Retail Clerks Union / Vons for 19 years.

Joe and Emily moved to Huntington Beach, California where they raised their five children and were devote members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic church.

Upon retirement from Vons in 1989 Joe and his wife Emily retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and at the time of her passing (January 14, 2016) which they were married for 56 years (married on January 24, 1959).

Joe dedicated his life to taking care of his wife and raising his children. He was devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather – he loved his family.

Grave Site Services are being held to honor both Emily & Frutozo Sena where they will be laid to rest together at Good Shepherd at 12:00 pm.
