Fredrick W. Smith, age 65, passed away peacefully on 19 August 2022. Fred was born in Millville, NJ, and after 4 years of honorable service in the U.S. Coast Guard, he was a long time resident of Cleveland, OH, and retired to Las Vegas, NV.
Fred is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rosemarie (Minardo), sons Carl (Allyson) and Ryan (Christine), brother John, and many family and friends. Preceded in death by his father John, mother Marie, and sister Dianne.
Fred enjoyed all things baseball, NASCAR, tinkering on projects big and small, country music, boating, the Atlantic Ocean, playing cards and shooting pool. Above all else, he cherished spending quality time socializing with family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, 28 August 2022, at Bainbridge Township Town Hall (17826 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH, 44023) from 2-5 p.m. A flag folding ceremony in honor of Fred’s military service will begin at 2:30 p.m.
