Fernard C Blake, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on November 18, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 23, 1929 in Delta, Utah to James and Clarissa Blake. Fernard served in the United States Army in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He retired after 42 years of service with the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sandra Rawlinson Blake; children Rawlin, Kumen (Becky), Conrad (Lorrie), Elana (Tommy), Ann (Doug), Jonathan (Lacey), Dara, Jason; 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Susan Blake Schuman; and sisters-in-law La Dera, Betty, and Cherol. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers Verdon, Lurous, Grant, and Wayne; sisters Della Ilene, Erna, Elsie Ray and Eva Mae Blake. Visitation will be Saturday November 23, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 at the LDS chapel, 6100 Alta Drive with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately following at Palm Northwest Memorial Garden, 6701 North Jones Blvd.
