Elmer Tuiza Garcia

On Monday, May 16, 2022, Elmer Tuiza Garcia, 53, passed away peacefully at the Nathan Adelson hospice. He was born on November 28, 1968 in the Philippines, to Philip and Corazon Garcia. At the age of 17, he immigrated to the United States with his family. Elmer was born with Down Syndrome but that did not limit him to live his life to the fullest.

Elmer loved to attend prayer group meetings, where he enjoyed dancing while the choir was singing. He liked bowling, video games, playing the slot machines, watching basketball games, and of course, his favorite spaghetti and ice cream.

Elmer had a wonderful and funny personality. He was a beautiful soul loved by everyone and will forever be in our hearts.

Elmer is survived by his father Philip; brothers Russell and his wife Mae Rainell, Eric and his wife Tammie; nephews and nieces, Antonio, Alexa, Matthew, Jaelynn, Kylie, Cody, Cassadie, Lorenzo and Alexander.

A visitation and celebration of life for Elmer will be held at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 North Main St., Las Vegas, NV on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 am to 3 pm. He will be sorely missed.
