Elaine B. Galatz, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Elaine was born on September 1, 1939 in Wisconsin to Ruth and Louis Bricker and was a Southern Nevada resident since 1961. She is predeceased by her parents and Neil Galatz, her beloved husband for 52 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Leesa Galatz, MD (David Finlay, MD) and Lara Galatz; and grandson, Ryan Finlay. Elaine is best known for her dedication to the Jewish community of Southern Nevada, having been the second female president of the Jewish Federation and was an avid supporter of the Smith Center. She and Neil lived on an equestrian property where they raised, trained, and showed Morgan horses. She, herself, was a multiple-time world champion and shared this passion with her family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Sunday October 24, 2021 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Jewish Nevada or the Smith Center. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
