Ed was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edward Henry Finch, Sr. and Gladys Finch. Ed was a veteran and honorably served in the United States Army as a Personnel Admin Officer for over 20 years. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 (CWO5).
Ed loved the game of golf and was an avid golfer. After he earned his Pro golf status, he taught golf lessons and made custom golf clubs. He had his first Hole in One at the Hidden Valley Golf and Country Club, Salt Lake City, Utah, September 22, 1995.
Ed is survived by wife Lowana J. Finch, 3 children: Edward Grant Finch (Cheryl), Kari Finch Start (Tim), and Bryon Scott Finch; 3 stepchildren Michael S. Reese (Leola), Patricia A. Barker, and Peggy L. Ranke; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by both parents, Edward Henry Finch Sr.
and Gladys Finch, and by his brother, Wayne J. Finch.
Ed will be cremated and his ashes will remain at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery
A service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005 on February 26, 2024 at 12:40 pm.
