Edward Raymond Esparza, 72, resident of Las Vegas passed away March 31, 2016 at Sunrise Hospital. He was born April 15, 1943 in Ray, Arizona to his parents, Hilario and Hilda Esparza. He grew up in Sonora, Arizona along with his sister, Susie Genardgini. He met his wife Myrna in 1973 while recruiting for the FDA. They were married in 1974 and had a son Larry in 1977. Edward received a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Arizona in 1966. Following his graduation he began working for the FDA and was later drafted by the U.S. Army. After serving in the Army, Edward resumed his career with the FDA where he worked until his retirement. He received many accolades throughout his career. Edward was a fun loving man. He loved good food, was an avid music fan, and loved to watch movies, TV shows and especially sports. Everyone who met him just thought he was the greatest guy. He was super intelligent and had an outstanding sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Myrna; Son, Larry and daughter in law Vanessa; Sister; Susie; and his grandchildren, Fiona and Owen Esparza.
