Edith M. Cohen, 88, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
She was born in Germany on April 15, 1930 to Luitpold and Regina Mann (nee Hein). She was a Holocaust survivor escaping Germany on a Kindertransport to a Rothschild estate outside of Paris. She escaped Europe in 1941 and settled in Chicago until retiring to southern Nevada in 2000. Despite the tragedies in her early years she was a kind, caring and forgiving person. Edith is preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers. She is survived by Donald, her beloved husband of 63 years and her two devoted sons, Larry (Davida) of Las Vegas and Richard of New York, NY. Graveside service with be held at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, December 5 2018 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Holocaust Survivors Group of Southern Nevada. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
