Dorothy Anne Manz

At 4:35 am on August 14, 2015, Dorothy (Dottie) Manz went home to be with the Lord. The world as we know it lost a great soul, and Heaven gained one. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will always be loved and missed, but we are at ease knowing she is finally out of pain and happy. We are sad to let her go but her memories will always live on in our hearts.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Uel and Wilma Dillard and one nephew. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Kathy, son-in-law, Jeff, 3 granddaughters, Kaycee, Alexis and Austynn, 2 sisters Mary Henzel (Stuart) and Mona Zumwalt (Gordon), 3 nephews and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones.

She lived her life serving the Lord and being a friend to everyone she met. She was very involved with her church, Meadows Fellowship, volunteering wherever she could. She belonged to several Bible study groups and loved to sing. She was a member of Celebrity City Chorus for many years and also sang with Mesquite Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child. This organization was dear to her heart. Every year shoeboxes filled with items such as toys and hygiene products are collected for children in poverty stricken countries.
