Dorothy Ann Sacovitch Dobbins

Dorothy "Dotty" Ann Dobbins, 72, a retired personal banker, of Las Vegas, passed away May 11, 2010. She was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Lynn, Mass., and was a 35-year resident of Nevada. Dotty retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 2000, after 25 years of employment. She was a member of Central Christian Church and loved serving in the children's ministry. She fought a brave battle with lung cancer for 15 months and was surrounded by family at her death. She is now enjoying Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; father, John; and brother, Johnny. Dotty is survived by her daughter, Sherry; son-in-law, Wayne; daughter, Kelly; son-in-law, Brian; son, Michael; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara; brother-in-law, Frank; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the "Peacemakers Quilt Ministry" at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson, NV 89011.
