It's been a week since I found out that Dontrae passed away and there hasn't been a day that I haven't cried haven't thought about him.  Haven't wanted to message him and see what's up.  See I met Dontrae in 2008 at Snow College and we became friends I hugged him every time I saw him and went to every football game.  We remained in touch after college.  Didn't get to really hang out because life got in the way but we talked a lot and in the last couple years we talked almost every day.  He reached out the day he passed but because I was busy with work when I responded I was too late and didn't know.  Its hard to find the right words to say and to navigate this incredible loss, but I love and cared for him.  I will never forget Dontrae and will cherish my memories of him for all my life.  May you rest in peace I love you my friend. 

I coached D-Will at Snow as the WR coach.  He would instantly light up the room whether it was for weight lifting or a team meeting.  We’d have a lot of 1v1 talks about football, school, (he loved math 😂) - He was an amazing person.  We had a group of WR’s during that 2008-2010 time frame that truly loved one another & Dontrae was right in the middle of it all.  I’ll miss him.
